When it comes to describing a company’s culture, it’s easy to use the common buzzwords: Diverse, inclusive, dynamic, fun, and passionate. Don’t get us wrong; Go Nimbly is all those things, but the thing that really drives our culture is our commitment to growth, both personally and professionally.
Again, this is easy enough to say, but we have the goods to back it up. While all-hands meetings are hardly a rarity in this industry, ours are unique in that they skew away from typical stand-ups and more towards professional development and self-betterment.
On-Deck: All Hands
On-deck is a company-wide meeting that’s held every Monday. This is generally a half-hour interactive presentation, given by a member of the team. Topics range from new internal or client-facing processes, useful frameworks, lessons on specific revenue operations concepts, or anything else that helps us be more productive and impactful in our roles at Go Nimbly.
On-Deck is a great way to kick off the week and what I love about it most is that we all leave with a new skill or area of development to think about for the week. This really sets the theme and tone for the week and empowers us as a growing team.Adam enright, sr. revops consultant & demand gen strategist
Wins, Learns, Change: All Hands
Wins, Learns, Change—or WLC—is a group retrospective that takes place each Friday. It starts with the entire company getting together (in person or via Zoom) to acknowledge people on the team who have given or received tacos on Slack throughout the week. Afterward, we break up into smaller groups, which are assigned randomly and change every couple of months. In these groups, everyone has a chance to reflect on what they see as their biggest wins, most important learns, and changes they’d like to make moving forward.
WLC is specifically for personal reflection, as opposed to thinking in terms of your team or the company as a whole. We think it’s really important to have this time to speak with your peers and leaders about your week and acknowledge the things you’re proud of, as well as to open up about things that have challenged you. The ultimate goal of WLC is to promote personal and professional growth, while also giving everyone an outlet to be vulnerable and honest about the journey.
“WLC is the only meeting I look forward to on a Friday afternoon. It’s one of only a few opportunities to connect with everyone from the Go Nimbly team all at once. I leave every WLC feeling inspired, energized, and deeply connected with my teammates. It’s a special and safe space to be open and vulnerable and has helped me develop a different narrative around the challenges that come up in the work we do. And I just love hearing other people celebrate their own wins!”Katie cousins, revops consultant
RevOps Trainings, WIP Jam and More
RevOps trainings are designed to make our programs more holistic and drive our commitment to self-betterment. We listen to what our customers and the RevOps space are talking about and deliver topics including Types of RevOps Structures, Running a Roadmapping Meeting, Attribution 101, and more! We are pumped to provide our customers with space to engage and grow with us beyond the day-to-day work.
WIP Jam is our intentional space to support and unblock each other. Each week on Fridays, we reflect on what’s in-flight and what is still top of mind to collect insights from folks beyond their immediate teams. In WIP Jam diverse minds unite to encourage learning and methodologies for impactful client service and solutions – a win for all!
I love that WIP Jam encourages GN consultants to ask for help without needing to have it all “figured out.” This builds a sense of community where we are both getting help in areas where we’re weaker and giving help in areas we’re more confident. It’s helped me connect with other GN consultants beyond my immediate teams and I’ve already both learned and helped a lot just by attending a few sessions.David kile, revops consultant
